Larry Davis - Service Manager

Larry is the Service Manager at Donovan Motorcar Service. Before joining the company in 1988, Larry had 17 years of experience with Chrysler and Subaru both as a technician and service manager. He has been involved in the automotive arena since high school. As service manager Larry does work on some vehicles in addition to making appointments, talking to customers and vendors, billing our repair orders and ordering parts. One of Larry's unique strengths is his ability to diagnose problems. Larry's training includes master certificates in eight fields with ASE along with management and customer satisfaction training through Chrysler. He likes the different situations his job presents as no two days are the same. He enjoys the environment at Donovan, his coworkers and customers. Larry also enjoys maintaining his home, attending car shows, walking, motorcycle riding and eating out. He maintains a large collection of cars as well.

Charles Fassell - Service Technician

Charles has been with the company since 2006 as a service technician. Previously he spent 23 years at Haddad Motors and started his career in high school auto shop class. He specializes in diagnosing both electrical and mechanical problems. He is responsible for engine and transmission repairs, parts fabrication, and just about all other car services. He likes the challenge that the different makes and models of cars present to him. Charles has a huge list of ASE certifications in just about everything a service technician could ever need. In his spare time he goes camping and enjoys swimming, fishing and snowmobiling.

John "Jay" Fitzgerald - Restoration Technician

John was introduced to automotive repair during his high school years and never looked back. He currently reassembles restorations at Donovan Motorcar Service, specializing in electrical, mechanical and interior work. He takes pride in assembling cars and watching them come together. John went to the University of Massachusetts in Amherst where he received his Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration. He also holds a certificate in automotive repair form the Franklin Institute of Boston and a Masters Degree in Educational Administration along with a teaching degree from Westfield State College. He began his automotive career on Cape Cod when he was still a student, working in the summer seasons. In 1975, John started his career as an automotive instructor at the Pittsfield and Taconic High School. He transferred to Pittsfield High School in 1988 to teach power technology before retiring from teaching altogether in 2007, joining Donovan Motorcar Service in 2008. In his spare time, he rides his motorcycle, tends to his garden and plays golf.

Kathy Grandshaw - Office Manager

More often than not, the cheerful voice answering your call belongs to Kathy, who joined us in the spring of 2009. A Berkshire County native, she has over 15 years of bookkeeping experience and handles the everyday tasks to make sure the office runs efficiently. She might not know the difference between an Austin Healey Sprite and a Triumph TR2, but she will make sure that your experience is pleasant and easy.

David Hathaway - Logistical Engineer

David was born into the automotive world and has been with Donovan's since 1991. David is the logistical engineer for Donovan Motorcar Service's Vintage Race Team and also helps with prep of the race cars and miscellaneous shop work. David received his Bachelor of Science in Education from the Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts. He has a Masters degree from Eastern Michigan University and a certificate of advanced graduate study from Clark University. David has also taken numerous courses at the University of Massachusetts, Williams College and Harvard. With 50+ years of racing experience as a driver, crew chief and SCCA official, David has an impressive track record. He has endurance race victories on top of SCCA GP Production and Showroom Stock C wins. He was a Renault Le Car Series participant, has raced on ice, driven rallies, autocrosses, competed in the Volkswagen Bilstein series, and was a driving instructor for the Mohawk Hudson SCCA Region.

Pete Romeo - Lead Restoration Mechanic

Pete has over 15 years of experience in restoring and maintaining collectible cars, and it shows in every vehicle that he services. From concours-winning, frame-off restorations to fabricating custom brackets for disc brake conversions, he can complete the task.

Matt Sutton - Service Technician

Matt joins Donovan Motorcar Service after successfully running Stockbridge Motors for almost 25 years. Also a Berkshire County native, he attended Northeastern University before returning home. He is an ASE-certified Master Technician and will be handling the used-car sales division.

Mike Weber Sr. - Maintenance Manager

Mike is in charge of building maintenance and auto detailing for Donovan Motorcar Service. Before joining the company three years ago, Mike work at General Electric in the manufacturing division where he received both safety and suggestion awards. While not working at Donovan's, Mike spends his spare time by working on his own automobiles and maintaining his home. He also enjoys long walks and talk radio.
