This pretty Mercedes Cabriolet was restored and is owned by Arlo Guthrie, the famed singer and songwriter, and longtime resident of the Berkshire Hills of Western Massachusetts. We have had the car in storage for some time. Arlo asked us to pull it out, clean it up, and present it to you for sale with his best wishes. |
| 1988 Jaguar XJS Price: $59,900.
This Jaguar XJS is a genuine Gentleman's Express. The present owner took what Britons consider a well-engineered boulevardier, and transformed it into a very quick means of getting from Point A to Point B. Very quick, indeed.
It is a highly modified street car that includes: a 6.0 liter V12 engine with modified high-performance fuel injection and intake systems; a five-speed Getrag gearbox; a 3.54 limited-slip differential; a custom big bore, free-flow exhaust system; high-performance suspension and steering upgrades; wide, high-performance tires on 16 wheels; and European bumpers, headlamps and fog lights. All modifications were developed in consultation with its present owner and were installed by Donovan Motorcar Service.
Each of the performance improvements added to the XJS' already considerable muscularity, resulting in an automobile that is stout-hearted, tough-minded yet well-bred. This Jaguar is an outright street rod that wears a smoking jacket, opera slippers and kid gloves. |

| 1937 Cord Beverly Price: $110,000
This lovingly restored, supercharged 1937 Cord 812 has been touted by Cord cognoscenti as being among the best to be found in America. Its odometer has registered single digits since a four-year, complete nut-and-bolt restoration with an Indiana marque specialist in 2008. Since winning first-in-class at the 2008 Auburn-Cord-Deusenberg Festival, it has graced our showroom and has generated countless inquiries.
The car comes equipped with a supercharged Lycoming 289 c.i. flathead V8 engine, front wheel drive, and a four-speed electro-vacuum pre-select transmission. |
